Dance Nutrition 101 Have some snacks ready in your bag. It takes a lot of work to first realise that it's okay to be comfortable in your own body regardless of what society's beauty ideal says. Then it takes a lot more work to unpack the messy emotions, feelings and history inside you that has told you so long not to love your body because that means you're"giving up" on yourself. But no, being comfortable in your own skin means just that - being comfortable, safe, calm and present. It's about honouring your body and acknowledging its presence, abilities, disabilities, flaws and everything it has. #bodyacceptance #bodyimage #bodyrespect #dancer #bodyautonomy #dancerswellbeing #supportingdancers #dancersdontdiet
